BJ - No internet when USB to computer?

When I plug my BlackJack into the computer (for charging and sync), IE on the BJ won't connect to anything. It always tries and then says the connnection was lost. Because of the battery issues I just want to have the thing plugged in while I sit here at work! FWIW, I am in an EDGE only area.

Any thoughts?

Dont know if it's an Edge thing but I am in MN where we only have E and I just ran a test of trying to connect while USB' and wouldnt let me. Unplugged USB and started connecting to a site and reconnected and it cancelled. I believe that that is now a issue.

just confirmed. Tried on both data sync cable, and wall charger...i CAN browse any site on IE as well as stream XM while charging

Hmmm not working for me, wonder if it was the connection changes I did from an earlier post?

Not sure why it wouldnt be...i havent messed with any settings as of yet....works for 3G as well as regular data

Are you set to run through Cingular's proxy? If so that is the problem. When connected via activesync, a WM% device uses a pass through internet connection from your PC. If the phone is trying to use Cingular's proxy connection, internet connection will fail (you can't connect to the proxy server from outside ... i.e. your PC's internet connection).
