Charging the Blackjack

i could not get my blackjack to charge with the usb cable. anyone else have that problem? it appears to charge (the indicator in the upper right side of the screen shows the connection) but it wasn't charging at all.

plus, there isn't any light on the blackjack that shows that its charging. or if there is, its not working on mine.

I'm still waiting on mine to be delivered, but I've read some posts that indicate....

active sync mode-- charges phone
mass storage mode-- does not charge phone
usb modem-- does not charge phone

Mine charges after the Synch connects and keeps charging until I turn off the laptop.

weird - in activesync mode, mine doesn't charge.

Mine charges when activesync is running.

I got a charge indicator when connected vie usb even when I was setting up activesync.

you mean the icon next to the signal meter in the upper right corner? it changes for me as well, but its definitely not charging. i left it on for a couple of hours and the battery still was low. 2 hours on the travel charger brought it up to full charge.

i'm surprised there's not a LED showing that its charging.

If you plug in the battery pack charger in the USB and not the phone you can see the LED light change colors and see that it is charging it. If that works, then you would think the actual phone would be charging when plugged in the USB too.

When I plug the battery pack into the charger, i get nothing. Is it supposed to charge the battery pack through usb? Whe I plug the phone in, my battery icon changes to a charger

No, it's the battery charger is supposed to charge through the AC adapter. If you don't get a red or green light upon inserting the battery and connecting the adapter, your battery is probably misaligned. I had a similar problem the first time I tried it. Reinserting the battery fixed the problem.

Sorry, i mis typed. my battery pack chargers fine through AC, but does not charge through USB.

I just got my Blackjack but mine is not charging through USB. I have it set on ActiveSync mode and the icon does not change at all. It charges fine using the AC adapter. The battery pack does not charge does through USB either. Basically, the only way I can charge anything is through the AC adapter. I'm positive my USB port is powered too. Any thoughts?

My Blackjack would not charge using the USB cable connected to my laptop until I installed and ran ActiveSync on the laptop. Very annoying.

Mine 'shows' that it is charging on the USB cable, but it stayed at 50% for a suspiciously long time.

i hate this usb charging issue.
it shows the icon that it is charging and yet its not!
does anyone know if any cable out there can charge while on conventional usb ports?
i would love for it to charge while on modem mode too!

Mine charges on only 'some' usb ports. is it possible that it needs a certain 'amount' of power, and that not all computers, or ports, give enough power??
