8525 and Text Messages

I have been trying to send / receive text messages using my 8525 and it does not seem like any are going through or being received. Any idea what could be causing this? Does Cingular have to enable something? In the past I just paid by the message since I do not text very much.

I believe Cingular has to enable it on their end. I got a 750v and was having the same problem. I called in saying that I thought I could just pay by the message but I had to have them enable it first.

Thanks...I'll give them a call tomorrow. I just switched from my 8700 to the 8525 today which frequired a SIM card change. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.
