I was told by a cingy rep that the wi-fi is only availble if you get the wi-fi plan??? Or they will criple it??? WTF??? Can any one let me know their experience on that with the 8525. I think the person is full of it, but if cingy would criple the wi-fi they are doing what verizon does which is not cool.

I cant believe you fell for that! didnt you ask him to show you that on paper?????

I answered this same post in another thread. you don't need to any kind of plan whatsoever to use wifi. Wifi is not at all controlled by cingular.
The only thing the wifi plan is for is if you want ot use cingular's wifi hotspots in coffee shops, airports, etc, etc. Just like T-Mobile hostpots in starbucks... to use them you need a Tmobile hostpot plan, cingular has a similar service and thier own 'hot spots.' The directory is on their web site.

So no wifi plan needed.
