I just unbranded my K790a, now I cant use any of the features that require me to connect to the internet. I get a "connection failure. check settings." error. Does anyone know what my settings should be, Thanks for any help that can be offered. I'm on ROGERS network.

great thread.... although strangely, when I first got my k790 data worked fine. Then it didn't work and this ip change did the trick. I wonder when they changed it?

I can't get my K790a to get internet.
I've gone to sony's site and sent my self the internet settings from Sony's website. Change the 151 to 150. rebooted the phone.
I try going to a any site I get
Communication error. Try again or contact your provider for support.

I've deleted the settings and put them in manual as hybrid.09's post
and it worked.

you can go to the sony ericsson site and they will send you a text message with the appropriate settings...all you have to do is accept and install if you can't figure it out.

The settings for WAP from the SE site dont work.
The MMS settings work fine.
I just tried it again on my friends Debranded W810i it just doesnt work even if you change the ip. not sure why. But if you set it manual (takes a good 30 seconds) it works fine.

I had a similar problem.

A simple (typing) error in the outgoing SMTP server box had the same results.

I had to remember the outgoing SMTP did NOT use a "@" symbol in the address.

I tried the settings in the post right above and it doesn't appear to be working for me. I have a de-branded W760a. I followed the instructions exactly but when I attempt to go to any web site I get the error connecting .... and then something is wrong with the page you tried to access. Choose another link.

Any suggestions?
