Sanyo 8400 voicemail key problem

Hi all, Has anyone ever heard of the voicemail key (1) not dialing your voicemail when held down? When I hold it down it shows the number but doesn't dial. I can click option on the bottom right and click on call but it still doesn't dial! I've had nothing but phone issues that past few months.
I've been pretty much a loyal Sanyo User(4900, VM4500, and now this 8700). This is the first time I've ever had an issue with a Sanyo and I'm afraid to take it into the sprint store (Customer service said I needed to). I'm afraid because before getting this 8700, I upgraded to an A900 that started having issues after about 45 days with less than 10 hours talk time on it and I was given a replacement that had over 300 hours talk time on it. So, I'm looking for any suggestions! I've already went back into the MDN Service Programmng menu and re-entering my mobile number and msid but no change.
