What do you use for a blackjack case...
I prefer to not use my pocket? are there any holsters out there, like there are for the q?

i know what your saying.....it seems like theres nothing out there for the blackjack.....when the q came out there were tons of extras for it

yes and when the q came out it came with a holster.....but no such luck on the i607...
i wonder if the q case would fit?

i dont think so the blackjack is smaller so it would move around to much

Seems like not only is there no cases out there for it, there are very few accessories period. I even checked Samsung's website and they don't even list it as an available model ! (checking under both 'Blackjack' and 'SGH-i607')

As soon as someone finds a case that will work (made for the Blackjack) please post it.

Blackjack Case: Oakley Sunglass Bag

This is what I use for my phones. I use a sewing machine to change the length, but it is lightweight and the material will not scratch the phone. The best part is the drawstring on the bag. I usually pull the phone out of my pocket by it.

I showed the guys at the Cing store my bag with my Razor in it and they looked me and said that's a great idea!

the universal case they reccomend on the Cingular website works well. I picked it up in a store and it has a perfect fit. The case is the horizontal one that sits on your belt.

Depends on what you want the case for. I need a case that won't fall off my belt. I lost a phone into a sprinkler valve pit. I found a case at the checkout line in Lowes from Nite Ize. They have cases for all different phones including BB's and smartphones/PDA. They are not stylish (as my 11-yr old daughter reminds me) but you won't have to worry about losing your phone. www.niteize.com.

Fortte Cases has a placeholder for both Dash and Blackjack cases but in the meantime, I have the regular Q vertical model (not the extended battery model) and it fits like it was made for the BJ. There are different clip options. I just have the standard clip and it is very secure on the belt and does not protrude and has a low profile. They have a vertical model also and it would probably fit the same, although I have not tried it as I prefer the vertical model.

i was looking at a whole bunch of universal clips and cases, but did not have my phone with me....is there anything (ipod, motrola etc..) with the same dimensions as the bj?

me and my business partner have this case for each of our i320s (which is the same dimensions as the blackjack) and its sweet. fits perfect. real high end leather too not the cheapo pleather. i've used these guys for most of my phone accessories in the past since they seem to be hooked up. good stuff...

I got my case from Cingular. It is a model (Blackjack) specific case. Got it for $29.99 and has a 30 day return period. I'm hoping I'll find a holster within that time frame.

I picked up a universal horizontal case at CompUSA for $14.99. It took a lot of effort to find (went to a bunch of stores) and absolutely hated the Moto Q case from Verizon. Here's the link:

However, the one I got has a magnetic flap, not a button as shown on the picture. It fits pretty well and it's not hard to extract the BJ from it.

Walmart had all sorts of cases for the Q that might fit but these are online only:

They also have a generic horizontal pouch in store with a magnetic clip that I grabbed for less than 10 bucks.

I picked up a Motorla Q case at the verizon store. It is the "sleeve" type that fits the Blackjack perfectly. I am very happy with it.

also check out circuitcity's selection of q cases. i saw at least 2 that fit nicely for bj. i'm still holding out for a silicone but may need to wait until the extended battery one comes out (given i switch out batts at least once a day).

I just cut one to size from some old ones I had for my old palmpilot pro (wow, that's ancient history!). From what I have left I could probably make a good dozen at about $0.50 apiece. Want to buy one for $10 from ebay?

Are there any plastic holster type slide in ones for the BJ? I hate the all leather looking ones. I just need something similar to how all the motorola (nextel, etc) snap in and then clip onto the belt.

I was at work today and was using a incredibly crappy clamshell-style calculator from Office Depot that came in a stitched leather pouch which I noticed was the exact same size as the BJ. I swiped it. Fits like a glove and quite nice to boot.

I've been considering that case too. For $10 it's worth a try.

I also like the plastic holster that Samsung sells for it, but I fear leaving it so exposed.

I[m using the Apex case. I bought it off of Ebay about two weeks ago. It's decent. I'm not a huge fan of holster cases anyway (it makes me feel even more like a dork) but my work requires that I have my phone on me and easily accessible about 14 hours a day, so it's what I'm currently using.

I might also try the plastic holster that Samsung now has available, though with those I always worry they're going to scratch the heck out of the phone.

I just received the plastic Samsung holster that is listed on the Samsung site under "Blackjack Accessories". I am pretty impressed with the holster. The phone can fit it either face out, or face in. It's a better fit in the "face out" mode, but either way works just fine. They have a cut out for the camera so it can be used while in the holster. It seems pretty heavy duty and worth the $$ so far for me.

One note...In my confirmation e-mail it says that it will only fit the "standard" battery.

Got mine as well. Just what I was looking for. Might need to get another because they only last for so long.

I just put a screen protector on it and throw it in my pocket...the thing is so small and light, and the main reason I got rid of the 8700.

I bought the fitted leather case from Samsung's website. I love it.

They also have a holster. I'm thinking about getting it too.

I use the case during the week (while working), but I just put it in my pocket on the weekends.

The holster does not scratch the phone because the black finish is more than skin deep.

wmexperts.com has a nice selection of blackjack cases. i have been very happy with the SPE flip top model that i purchased a few months ago. a second battery can be stored in the clear pocket on the top. looks nice, leather, and reasonably priced.

Not sure how this thread got dug up after so long. I like the Seidio holster from seidioonline.com. It's even got its own cover for the extended battery that is smaller than the one that you get from AT&/Samsung and tapers at the bottom so it fits in the holster.
