8700c Tethering Question

Anyone use their blackberries to tether to actual PCs (home computers)? And what is everyone's thoughts on doing so?

I voted for No. However, I do tether my laptop when I am on the road / travel.

All these posts relate to laptops. I actual mean non portable, at home computers.

I dont see the point. The laptop is really just a smaller version of a desktop.
Most desktops are connected to Wifi or a network/phone cable.
Tethering is typically done on laptops...no?
