I'm going to apply for this position here in the Dallas area, but the website isn't real clear on what exactly it pertains. Anyone in this position currently or can provide a bit more feedback on what to expect / how to interview for this job?

im actually trying to get that spot here in NYC. more info would help me as well.

titling trend makes it sound like a B2B account rep, with "Level II" all-but requiring a college degree and significant experience in a like field.

ok so can anyone expound a bit on the day-to-day tasks of a b2b account rep?

It is outside sales. Depends on the area you are in, but you will be doing some cold-calling as well as calling on potential/existing customers with larger business accounts. 50+ lines. Your job is to grow the business...through outside sales to larger business accounts. It really depends on where you are and such, but the best thing to do is to apply, and if you get an interview, ask those sorts of questions there. Ask your current superiors about it, and possibly see if they can put you in contact with someone currently in that position and get an idea of their day to day duties and routines if this is the type of position you are seeking. Keep in mind that it IS outside sales and is in no way "easy"

Well i don't currently work for Cingular, so couldn't really ask my superiors, but I do have a few contacts I'll ask about it. Outside sales doesn't bother me, I'm actually currently interviewing for what sounds to be the same position, only with Time Warner Cable in Media Sales. I guess my question would be am I basically selling FANs or just trying to get huge businesses to give up their nextels or whatever and get a fleet of Cingular phones?

CAE II is an entry level business sales position. They used to have a CAE I, but no longer. Basically you need a college degree and a drive to make a lot of phone calls. Mafiazz, send me a PM w/ your phone number. I used to work in the b2b group in NYC and know all the managers. I can give you some insight to what you need to do to get in.
