8525 ActiveSync Issues...

when i plug my 8525 to my computer it gives me an error that i can't sync. and tells me run ActiveSync Troubleshooter and after that process it tells me that i have to install Outlook 2002 or higher in order to sync....but the problem is i already have Outlook 2007 Beta installed and it worked when i first got my 8525 then all of a sudden i got this error....has this happened to anyone....please help....thanks in advance....

My 8525 will sync only about 50% of the time. When I plug in the sync cable, it might or might not sync. I downloaded Activesync 4.5 Beta, but it hasn't helped either. I have gone thru the connections settings several times, deleted the user and restarted, tried a different USB port.

What Gives???

You might try checking (or unchecking depending upon its current state) the USB to PC settings.

Settings>Connections>USB to PC

The check (or uncheck) the box.

Checked=RNDIS
Unchecked=Serial

yeah, for some reason by doing this it ended up working but at the sametime i did a hard reset and started from scratch since i didn't have many programs installed and eveything seems to work fine...for now at least...

Its an occasional problem with me. If I reboot the PC it works fine for a long time (weeks).

i was syncing flawlessly with the 8125, but as soon as i get the 8525, its been problems as well. im pretty much sold on it being phone rom!

i tried the fix on the link, and it seemed to work for a day, but now it doesn't. the phone connects, then disconnects. any ideas? also, is it possible to sync through wifi?

Try this: Goto Settings>Connection>USB to PC and "enable advanced network functionality". It says it can help with problems connecting to activesync, and so far its been working.
