Blackjack Keyboard Input slow to recognize?

I type faster than my blackjack can recognize. It's maddening.
This is not a problem on the treo or on the 8525.
Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am NOT hitting the wrong keys, and I am not the fastest typer in the world.
