It would appear that the firmware on my Pearl is a few version behind the .67 that is currently available. I attempted to update the OS using files downloaded from Rogers and RIM and find that the device continues to be the older version. I have never had this issue with my 7290 before. I am beginning to think that it is corporate "policy" which is prohibiting me from upgrading. Does it make sense?

I asked IT and got no answer about our corporate policy as it is created elsewhere in the world. Although I own the device, the company is paying for my cell/data charges and I am using the corporate server for browsing and emails.

Did you remember to locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your PC C: drive?
