Sorry for reposting the title, but the thign is I was wondering will Skype work with the 650/700p and 700wx regardless of wifi working? Doesn't Skype work through wifi, which apparently is not available through the 700p and 650 (new firm ware? )

I guess a second general question is how WIFI capable are these 3 phones?

Yes, Skype does work through wifi normally, but I think the Treo workaround would be to have it go through the data connection. Palm os Treos can't do wifi.

Well the 650 and 700w/wx have wifi sleds or just need a wifi card. They work well.

But the 700p there is not a sled yet and wifi cards aren't supported. So if going with the 700p don't count on wifi but going with the other devices they can use wifi

You can use skype on the power vision connection - I've made short calls from skype on my treo wx.
