The company (you work for) policy on devices

I am currently employed by a pretty large company that has been using BlackBerry's and (more recently) Treo's for about three years. At first they were only issued to upper management but this year they started working their way down to...my boss's level.

Two years ago when I came in I bought a Dell Axim and they let me sign an agreement that let me sync it to my laptop. I'm very tempted to go out and buy the new Treo 680 and I'm wondering if the company will let me use it to get my corporate email. I know the Treo users are using GoodLink to connect to our Exchange server.

Do any of you have experience getting your company to let you use your smartphone on their system? Any tips, things to watch out for, etc.? Thanks.

The only thing you can do is ask. There may be something on your intranet discussing this. I would just shoot an email to your IT dept.
