Hi guys-
Can anyone imagine any problems using an unlocked Treo 680 on Cingular?

I'm currently using the Cingular 650 with the Gemplus 32K sim with no problems other than the average 650 bugs. I'm opting for the unlocked version this time around due to A) I want the white one B) I'm still getting by on the unlimited media net plan....once you get a PDA phone from cingular, all the bells and whistles go off to sign up for the PDA plan. C) I'm contract-free, and once I'm done with upgrade fees, sales tax, (possible new PDA plan if they force me) it would practically amount to the unlocked from Palm anyway.

Final question being: Is there a chance I could face any problems if I get the unlocked version and put my sim card in? Like network settings, cingular logos, etc.? Or is a bulk of this part of the Sim Card? In fact, would I need a new Sim Card? Sorry for rambling on...any help is much appreciated, before I hit the checkout button and regret it later!

You should be good to go with an unlocked Treo 680. Im ordering my Treo 680 and im going to use T-Mobile, alls well there also. Best of luck to you!

You won't have any issues. Usage should be just fine with you old SIM.
