My mmf tones that came pre-packaged with the phone and the ones i recently transferred onto the phone are playing, however i no sound is coming out of the phone. I've turned up every volume i can think of to fix this and nothing. HAs anyone had this problem with the A707?

Did you adjust the volume through the Settings/Profile menu or did you just assign a ringtone via association through the My Stuff folder?

i have a problem where the .mmf i send doesnt play at all. it says it unsupported, even though i converted it

make sure you convert it with MA-5 setting or lower and check MONO. otherwise it won't play.

As far as Foofighter: i have no idea why your pre-packaged mmf won't play, but the ones you transferred - read above

what program do you use? i used mp3 to ringtone, but i dont see those kinds of options

I personally use Soundforge 8, but there are a lot of free programs that let you convert MP3 to WAV and then use a free Yamaha Wave Sound Decorator to convert that WAV file into a MMF. Those settings i mentioned are in WSD.

I have started having this problem as well. I have my ringer set to the Basic Tone and, for no apparent reason, it just stops playing. I get a call and don't even know it because the ring doesn't play. When I go into my profile settings I can't get any of the MMF ringtones to play (these are the ones that came with the phone). If I set to an MP3 ringtone that I added it plays fine.
