Can MP3's be placed as ringtones on the P800?

That's pretty weird. Probably a Copyright thing, but I'm not the attorney here What formats CAN you place as ringtones? AND how do they sound? Thanks in advance!

Midi, wav, and others, but just uncompress your Mp3 with a program such as CDex and use a sound editing program, I use Nero, to edit a clip of a song into your desired condition. You can remove voices, fadein, fadeout, until you have it just the way you want it.

If you want to use the Lazy Man's tool, just sample the portion of the song or sound you want to use as a ringtone with your P800's voice note recorder and move it to the ringtones. Works very easily and when moved to the Ringtones file, does not continue to take up any memory in the voice notes application.

most likely the problem is with the audio player software.

If you noticed, there's one player for all the formats, and a DIFFERENT one for mp3.

I would assume the first player is the one generating the ring signals. Until they integrate them both, or support the second player, it would remain a problem.

IMO, this is the first thing they'll be fixing in the April firmware update.
