i was looking at both of those phones. i can get a brand new v3m for something like 200 or 215 right now on motos website, and a krzr is 280. i was comparing them on phonescoop and there were very few differences. besides the buttons on the krzr, are there any differences? like in terms of modding, or the way it looks or works. does the v3m have a designated mp3 player. is the krzr java enabled, and does the v3m have voice commands?

Alltel uses Brew and not Java - so, "no", on the java.

I believe they are very similar. The K1m is better built, or so some would argue.
I would take the K1m, but that's just me. The K1m is newer, so all else being equal it should also be better.

I believe they both should behave nearly identical IRT modding.
Battery life might be better on the K1m(I think?), and I also think RF is supposedly slightly better on the K1m.

thanks for the input. i think im pretty set on the k1m. im gonna go order it while moto still has the 20 percent off.
