I bought this phone from a friend the esn is not blacklisted. it is a verizon phone. when i power the fone on it asks for a password he doesnt remember the password any ideas how to get past it or reset the fone?

maybe take it in to a Vz store. otherwise, hey, there are only 10000 possible combinations if he used the simple 4-digit password. If you can try a new code every 3 seconds, and assuming the code is found after on average about 5000 attempts it'll only take a little over 4 hours. Maybe 5 hours if you rest and get a drink every once in awhile. Of course if you're unlucky and don't find the code until the 10000th try it'll take you all day. If it's the strong alphanumeric code then you may be at it a while longer. Good luck!
