i purchased a nokia N80 which supports UMTS 2100MHz. does any body know if i can use the umts in the USA with the 2100 MHz??

Nope, there will never be 2100 (same as Europe 2100) in the USA unless there is a MAJOR change in usage

I believe the FCC already has that frequency in use for something else so 2100mhz will never become available. Just like the metric system, the US likes to be different. ie' 900/1800...850/1900
