I use www.mobileprotech.com for my Sony Ericsson P910a handset. Just pay one annual fee and no deductible to file claim.

I've recommended safeware to a lot of people for PPC devices, and most have taken it up.

One guy had to use it, paid a $50 deductible, and got his 8125 replaced in 48 hours.

never heard of them, but interesting find though. i always tell them about safeware.com, because some of the reps in our area forwarded an email message telling us about this place.

If you want to upgrade, activate, or add-a-line at a Cingular Corp. or Agent store, you can't. They wont be able to look up your account. You have to go straight to Hawk.

Home owners insurance is another option worth looking into, assuming you own a home

Thats what I do: 3.50 per 100 dollars you want to insure the device for. I insured my 8125 for 500 dollars (you can choose how much you want to insure for), thats 17.50 per year. 50 dollar deductible for damage or theft. Whats funny is, if you lose it.....there is no deductible. Go figure.
