Guys,
I am using Media Max 200 on my 8525 and end up having to turn off the cingular proxy server in order to get to my mail.****.com account to use pocket outlook to sync my IMAP folders. Is anyone else running into this? Is there a workaround?
Thanks,
Y2J

According to cingular you won't be able to access external pop/imap addresses with proxy enabled. No workaround unless you can convince them to change the way thier proxy works.

You need the proxy enabled to connect to device.home and cingular video, correct?

This is the part of the page that you need to read.
NOTE 1: The POP3 E-mail connection is separate from the Internet Browser connection and as such, if the selected connections are different (i.e., the "MEdia Net" connection is selected for the Internet Browser and the "My ISP" connection is selected for POP3 Email), the device will disconnect and reconnect to the appropriate connection depending on the application in use -- Internet Browser or Pocket Outlook.
NOTE 2: It is recommended to use "My ISP" instead of "MEdia Net" for POP3 e-mail because of the following:
"My ISP" uses the wap.cingular APN with no proxy.
"MEdia Net" uses the wap.cingular APN with the "wireless.cingular.com" proxy (for MEdia Net access).
Because MEdia Net uses a proxy (which is an unnecessary node for e-mail access), connections to POP3 E-mail can fail or time out resulting in send / receive errors.
Although rare, if errors occur when using My ISP, please switch to MEdia Net instead.
