8525 memory card?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I was wondering where I could find the best prices on expandable memory cards for 8525? Also what would be the most space I could get in one card? I'd be fine buying 2 smaller ones but would prefer one big one.

Ebay is a start. Got mine for 85 and another person here got it for 70-75. Retail stores go for at least 99.

There's a guy on eBay selling SanDisk cards with Motorola adapters for 70 shipped.

Got mine from him, and it works great!

Or if you wanted an Ultra II by sandisk 2gb, fastmemoryman has them on ebay for 92 bucks. I got it very quickly and works great. I wasn't sure the faster card gives me an advantage with a pda or not though...

Got my 2 gb A-Data card from Newegg.com for $85+$7 shipping - eBay prices are just about the same, so why take the risk to save what, maybe $5 bucks if that? Buy from Newegg (or other reputable online company - Abes of Maine has great service also).

Last I checked 85+7 = 92 - 70 = $22 savings.

Not too substantial, but pays for an extra pda case

There is a 1 GB US Modular card on buy.com for $20 AR (that's half of OEMPC), but I've never heard of that card, does it matter?

I want to find a deal like that on a 2GB

microSD's are microSD. It's a matter of what brand you trust. Sandisk tends to be a good brand and it has been reported here in the forum that it works. The one that everyone seems to be getting is the Sandisk 2GB w/adapter. Between $70-$110.

Is it me or does it seem odd that they're having so many problems over here...

Where are these $70 cards on eBay? Was this a new card or used? The best completed sales on eBay that I see in the past few weeks is $80 w/ shipping. Not saying there are no reputable stores on eBay, and I've bought plenty of stuff on there, but this one's not worth it IMO.

EDit: btw, I did get a free cheap case with my purchase too.

New. Here's the one I bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...71004&rd=1&rd=1

This was a BuyItNow with free shipping...

You know how ebay works. Sometimes you will find good deals sometimes you won't. Sometimes you find reputable stores and sometimes you won't. I don't think we need to explain to you how to find your purchase. WE just simply stated that you can attain these microSD cards cheaper on Ebay as opposed to stores. IF money is not an object then go for the retail store and other "reputable" online stores out there.

I personally bought mine from ebay for 80. 10 dollars cheaper than most stores and it was brand new. No hassle. Was it worth it saving 10 dollars..probably not.
