WM5 email ques: ActiveSync vs Good?

Hey guys, so I'm an email power user (for work; we have an Exchange server with Good and Blackberry Servers installed and OWA access) and was wondering if people had some thoughts about the best options for email using WM5 devices.

What I mean is that I just got a Blackjack and set up MS ActiveSync and it just worked and it was great! I mean it got all my Contacts, Cal, Email and Tasks and was simple to do and really fast, and I'm totally loving that.

Only question/problem is that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of customization/options for that. Is that a WM Smartphone thing vs the full version? Or is that just how ActiveSync works; one way and no other?

What I'm referring to is that with the Good software (on a device that supported it) you could not only get your inbox but other folders under the inbox on the Exchange server too, which is very cool and useful if you have mailing lists and sort mail into multiple folders using rules. It doesn't seem like I can get functionality similar to that on the BJ as I can't find any options to add folders or the like.

On that note, is there anything else missing by using ActiveSync that I would get by using Good? And if it turns out I can somehow get the other folders then isn't the Good/Blackberry SW totally redundant and I would have no reason for it?

Just trying to get my hands around all the options here and looking for info from the more experienced folks! TIA for any help!

If you are saying that you cannot access your subfolder using Activesync and Exchange, you just have yours setup wrong. I see all my folders and mail is routed to them appropriately as long as my email rules are exchange based and not client only.

To access multiple folders you need to setup via Activesync on your PC first... In your email setting you can choose your subfolders that you want to sync as well.

I use my Blackjack as a blackberry replacement and LOVE IT! I would never go back to a blackberry now.

Heh just a quick update to my first post on the forum...you can actually set up the folders on the device w/o needing the software installed on your PC. Wherever you can see the folders on the device you can select which ones you want to sync--just missed it the first time I was looking for it...

Microsoft's ActiveSync 4.2 has problems, so XP users are encouraged to upgrade to ActiveSync 4.5, which is in Beta, but apparently addresses the issues with 4.2. For Vista users, it's called The Sync Center (unofficially ActiveSync 4.6) and it works flawlessly for me.
