ive done alot of reading on this board, and xda, but still can't seem to resolve this issue. i have a g4 powerbook, and I can't connect to my 8525 by any means. ive tried missing sync and after loads of hassle i got it running, and connected, but it would lock up when i would try to transfer a file, and ide have to reboot. any suggestions?

also, when charging my phone with the adapter the backlight stays on.

Does your PowerBook G4 have Bluetooth on it? If it does then just transfer files using that. Just go into your Bluetooth settings and setup a new Bluetooth device. Also make sure that in your connection settings on the phone under "Beam" you have the "Receive all incoming beams" box checked. It's working just fine on my PowerBook G4.

i tried this. from the bluetooth file exchange i get the error "device does not have the necessary services". from the bluetooth assistant i get " an error occurred attempting to perform the search". i have bluetooth turned on on both devices, beam set to receive all, and both are discoverable.

I got it to connect with missing sync by going to connection settings then usb to pc and unchecking enable advanced network functionality.
