Hello

I ran a search on this topic, and was unsucessful, so excuse me if someone already made a post which I could not found.
Anyway the story goes like this.

I have a k610i branded by vodafone live. I don't even know where to begin about branded phones.

I'd like to know of a (free) method of flashing my phone and having the default firmware. I know of DaVinci, if all else fails then i will resort to DaVinci. However, i feel that it's unjust if i have to PAY for my own phone to be flashed to its companies own firmware.

So would anyone have any solutions for me?

Thanks in advance ^_^

if you are willing to pay there is loads of shops that will do it for you as for free i doubt it as it take a person to do it hence there is labour to be charged for.

carriers will always put their own software on handsets as it has features and links to a carriers premium content and at the end of the day the carrier want you to spend money with them and as the handset belongs to the carrier and not you until your contract ends that why if you decide not to pay the bill the carrier block/bar your handset and sim.

What if i paid for the phone outright?

You missed my point.

i totally agree carriers are causing all sorts of problems and limit the phone true potential by using ther carrier software but while handsets are heavily subsadised by carriers this will always happen. even paug or so called sim free phone usually have some sort of carrier software on them this is why the black market flashing of mobile phones is so big.
