8525: How to delete an email account

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

When I got my 8525, I tried to setup my home, work, and other email accounts using different types of setup (POP, IMAP, etc.) to see which one works. Now, I have 2 email accounts for each email address and it's annoying to have to cycle through each one. I could not find a way to delete an account. The phone only allows you to create new one. Anybody figure out a way to delete?
Thanks.

Not very intuitive to do, but all you have to do is:

Go to Messaging->Menu->Tools->Options

Press and Hold your stylus on the email account you want to delete, and you should see the option to remove...

I tried this and it only shows one email account. And it's not the one I want to delete. Is there something else I need to do?

The other email account you see is something you can't delete. It's the account when you sync your pc to your 8525. When you active sync, if you want your home pc emails to be on your 8525, you check mark "MAIL" in active sync and any mails that is not on your 8525 (from your PC) will go into that other account.

I'm not sure what you mean.

I think I found out why it kept showing the same one. I had two email accounts one was express mail and one was pop. The pop is the one that kept coming up. And I wanted to delete the EM account. So I just remove EM and that worked.

Thanks to sunil23. That worked. Finally.

This is a great phone but whoever did the usability design for the 8525 should find another line of work. The phone's got so many buttons to use and yet they force us to use a stylus on certain tasks and it's not intuitive.
