Dim P900 screen

My touchscreen stopped working, so I just replaced it and now it works fine except that it's really really dim and I can hardly see anything. What could cause this? Am I too dumb to figure out how to adjust the brightness on this phone? I didn't have this issue with non-responsive touchscreen. Please help me!! Thanks in advance!
