Need Phone Advice

I'm looking for a new phone. I'm currently on cingulars GSM network, but would be willing to switch to CDMA for the right phone. I'm looking for something new that few people will have. As an example, I purchased the razr the first week it was released 2 years ago. I went a year without seeing too many razrs, but now everyone has it. I really like my clam style flip phones, but would be willing to venture into a candy bar or slider type of phone. I keep my phone in my pocket, so size and weight are very important. For this reason, I would probably stay away from smart phones/pda's, even though I really like the new Motorola Q.

A few phones I have been looking at are the Motorola rizr, razr maxx, samsung D900, D830, and X820 (although the last two don't support 850, which would probably kill my reception with cingular). Any suggestions? I don't mind waiting a month or two if a bigger and better phone is planned to be released.
