8525 Two Newbie Question!

I purchase an 8525 without contract. I paid the full price for the phone. My two question are: If there is a warranty that cover the phone malfunction problem? The other question is regarding i want to add the laptop connect plan but customer service said that i have to activate a second line for one year in order to do so. Is there is a way that i can sign up in a month to month basis plan???

don't call customer service, go to a COR store and have them add it for you.
