does anyone know a place in toronto where i can flash the firmware of my 6270??

im having a problem where whenever my phone slider is in the up position, all the buttons on front half of the phone (the menu and directional shortcut buttons) don't respond. the keypad still works and when the slider is closed the front buttons will work... but not when it's open

any help please

doesn't sound like a firmware problem

what firmware do you have on your phone ?

i have rm-56 v3.69

i've had some other problems with this phone rebooting by itself periodically as well

any insights?

I had the occasional self-reboot problem with version 3.5.3, but since upgrading to 3.8.1 it's been very stable. What you're describing though, sounds more like a hardware issue than a software issue; kinda like a wire is being pinched or something when the slide is up but not when its down.

If you still want to go the flashing route, I don't have any insights since I'm not in Canada.

Thanks for the update info.I was about to give up on my 6270 which i love and did the update and it stopped all my issue's with phone.Actuallly should have though of it myself as much as i know about Nokia's but i was flustered. So all of you having the same issue's as listed on this phone issue of phone rebooting or turning itself off do the update and it should be stable. You do need the pc suite and the cable though. And fast interent connection help's also.
