treo650 keeps resetting

Hi everyone!
I just got a treo650 and i've downloaded some apps on it, nothing too big or too weird. however, 90% of the times after i sync it, it starts resetting itself over and over again until i force a hard reset and erase everything. then, if i use the backup data to restore, it throws itself in the same loop. i've separated the prcs that when i put them into the backup folder don't cause the resets, but i know that what's going on with the palm isn't right. also, sometimes it would just start resetting randomly when i'm working on it, and it goes into that same loop and won't stop till i hard reset.
Has anyone ever had this before?

Hello SiberianX37,

This is Kevin from Palm. First, you don't necessarily have to do a hard reset to break out of a loop. The System (Warm) reset may be able to do the same. Check the Palm Knowledge Library article "Resetting your device (Soft, System/Warm, Hard, In-Cradle, Power Down, Battery Disconnect, Zero Out)".
There's an error log that you can access after a reset that may tell you which application might be the source of the reset. You can find out how to get to it in
"Find out if your Treo 650 or 600 reset itself (and the error code it recorded)".
The issue you're experiencing is usually due to third-party software. You can find out how to track down the offending software in the article "Diagnosing problems caused by third party applications". You'll need to follow the instructions very closely and reinstall the third party apps one at a time, putting the device through its paces each time, until you can duplicate the reset issue.

10 to 1 its a software problem, I have learned from trial and error when executives at my job install software on their treo's they start crashing, be careful what you put on them..
