The biggest problem is likely the tiny number of Windows Mobile Smart Phone 5.0 compatible mapping softwares out there.

However I remember reading some posts about the latest Tom Tom or Garmin software working on the BJ.

Try searching.

I bought this one and have been happy with it ever since. Haven't come across a device that I haven't been able to pair it with yet. I can confirm that it work with the BJ (at least with Windows Live Beta & Pocket Streets & Trips.) It did not come with any software.

The only negative I have come across is signal acquisition time. On bad weather / cloudy days or while moving it can take over a minute or more. Most days it's quick however.

Since I have the unlimited Data package I just use a bt gps receiver and Live Search. No monthly fee's and the live search was free to download

I second that setup. Not to hijack the thread but Live Search is the first MSFT app to beat out Google (Live Search's interface and ease of use, once you get the hang of it, is better that Google Maps IMHO)
