i just got the phone 20 min ago and ws going to try to do the unbrand thing which and stuff but it says to hard reboot the phone by pushing the soft keys what are they?

the softkeys are the two buttons no the face. One on the left of the windows key, the other to the right of the ok key.

I highly suggest the non branded verizon "hack" mine runs so much smoother

is the reset button the power button?

No. If you look at the bottom of the phone the little hole on the left is the reset button. Use the styli to press it while holding the softkeys.

The big hole on the right is for headphones and is not needed for this

i have tried this 12 times and it doesn't work for me. Verizon phone. I do the soft rest, go thru the screen, past password and then i see the three second screen i hit the reset button with the stylus, any suggestion about what i might be buggering up?

I believe that you have to push and hold the two softkeys then while the softkeys are depressed, push in the reset button with the stylus.
