"his Product Discontinuance Notification is to inform you of the intention of Nokia to discontinue selling the following products effective immediately:

VeriChat, I300AlertMgr, I300EZKeyGuardnMute, I300PictureCallerID, I300SpkrPhMgr, I300VibraBlinkHack, I330PictureCallerID, I330PolyVibraBlinkHack, I330SMS, I500SMS, KBTracker, MarknDial, SMSFilter, Treo300SMS, Treo600SMS, TreoAlertMgr, TreoAlertMgr_Upgrade, TreoPictureCallerID.

Nokia will discontinue support for these products, except Verichat, on December 15th 2006"

SO now what do we need to use that is equal in performance?

Nothing quite matches the features and performance of verichat. I personally only used the trial version once and it was pretty sweet but not sweet enough for me to pay 25 bucks a year. Toccer works get but has less features and is uglier lol. I have yet to find a good program for yahoo

The last couple of days my verichat has been in the crapper. It would log in and light up the my treo 4x an hour. It was killing my battery. We pay for a product and they are not living up to their end of the agreement. There has been a definate downgrade in service lately. I guess they are screwing over customers over earlier. I'm never gonna buy another nokia product.

You could always try to complain, saying that since Nokia has bought the company, the level of service that you paid for isn't there. Ask for a refund. Maybe they'll give you one.

Is there a cracked version of this software out? I love it and am willing to pay for it like I have in the past, but I wanna continue using it beyond April.

Is this going to make a push for Palm to incluse basic AIM/ MSN support in the Messaging app of the Treo's? I hope so now! I love VeriChat, sending pictures, docs, etc, multiple SN's, archive conversations. The killing of VeriChat will now make me reconsider the Palm OS on my next smartphone, for sure.

i would imagine that a cracked version woudln't do you any good at a certain point, since the service requires verichat's proxy servers...

Yep, you're right. A patched version will only work until VeriChat's proxy servers get shut down, which should be around the time of 1 year after the last sale.
