8525 and Networks

I am obviously on Cingular but while in Canada my network name states Cingular Extended. On my Treo and Blackberry it use to say Rogers. Any idea on why the network name is not coming through?

i've had this happen with the newer sims. The old sims used to say the name of the tower. However, if you ask cingular, or you can seem edit your phone, to have the network name read fromt eh tower instead of the sim.
