Just wondering if anybody has done the firmware upgrade to their 9300-b. I see it has been out since Oct. iunlock.com also is offering it. Has anyone had their 9300 flashed to the upgrade yet? And if so could you please post your experience. Good or bad/ no change etc. Especially the browser. Is it any faster or better...Thanks

I guess no one had any input for my inquiry so I will give my impression of the upgrade. First of all I am not a power user. My priorities are a good/fast web browser. Good email, and a good RF functioning phone. I was very disappointed with the stock 9300-b browser out of the box. I went for the upgrade (v6.27) and I must say I am very pleased. My browser actually is usable now. It is probably 3 to 4 times faster than previously. I also downloaded the new opera mini 3.0 and am very pleased with that. It was def. worth the $30 upgrade price. To each his own. This is my 2 cents only. I would definitly do it again and I recommend it for the web speed improvement alone. Can`t wait to see what else is better....Cheers

Is there an t9 add on of any sort. Also do we now have an email alert available using EMAIL not the Blackberry service. I too posted an post on this however had no replies at all. If you could would you please give a full summary of your upgrade. I wanna get one as well. I just hate to let go the phone for any amount of time. Out of my 8125 and HW6515 it is the king and is the only one I truely like to use. By the way does the upgrade hurt the perfect performance of the battery. Any input would really be appreciated thanks in advance

Isn`t t9 a form of predictive texting? Why would a device with such a great qwerty keyboard need that?
I did lose my bb connect with the flashing. I assume I can get it back, but since I only used it for e mail anyway I`m in no rush. I do have a service that delivers push to my device, and it works really well via yahoo. As far as e mail alert, there are a few that can be selected. There is still no vibe feature, but that`s not a big deal to me.
I can`t say to much more about the upgrade because there are just so many little things that I notice as I use the phone, like the calendar highlights the date with a filled in background now. I don`t think it did that before but I`m not sure about alot of it because this phone was shelved for awhile while I used other devices. Alot of the features of the various devices I own I never need to use.
I can add that the battery is still very good, holding a charge for all the usage I can put to it during the course of the day and into the nite.
If you pay extra for postage (overnite) you can get your phone back very fast , like in maybe three days. The extra postage will cost ya tho. You might check iunlock.com for reviews of this flashing, might help you make up your mind. I can recommend it and I would do it again in a second. I love the browser speed now. It`s really improved. Also oper mini 3.0 works very well and fast. Hope this helps....Cheers

It would be useful for quick texts in phone mode.
