I have a Treo 650, i have been trying to download a 617kb file from the internet and i get a message that there is not enough memory to store the file. I have over 5mb free and i can not find an option to download to the SD card.

Am I missing something?
Please help a newbi out.

The problem is that the memory it's referring to is the dynamic heap, the space reserved for actually running apps (or downloading files). The heap can become fragmented to the point that it doesn't have a 617kb block available. You can try a soft reset before trying to download (that will clear the cache), or get an app called UnCache that supposedly helps keep the cache clear. (Have a look at the TreoCentral forums for more details--I don't have a NVFS Palm device myself.)
