Just nabbed the 8525 for $369 - $100 rebate = $269

I dont really know how...I just called up to transfer service from verizon and instead of the $449-50MIR the guy said the 2 yr price was 369 + a 100 mail in rebate....definitely shocked me.

So for anyone considering signing up Id recommend calling for a better price.

btw, all week i've been calling cingular stores in the DFW area and nobody has em in stock...so ordering it from telesales could be ur only current option. He said they have em in stock and its shipping overnight.

whats transfer service? do they have transfer service for tmobile? i want to join my dad's existing cingular family plan. i might open up my own account but $80/month is expensive. could i just get the rebate and walk to a store wtih k750i and tell them to give me media max instead of pda connect.

He might be referring to porting his number from his old provider (Verizon) to his new provider (Cingular). It's set up like regular new service and then you initiate a transfer of your old number to your new service.

Yes I mean I ported my # from verizon and setup a new account with cingular
