Hi! I'm on the U.S. T-Mobile network (prepaid) and use a Vodafone 803T by Toshiba. Does anyone know how to set it so that the voicemail notification shows up on the phone when I get a new voice message? I had two new voicemails but there was no notification on my phone to tell me they were there.

Also, are there any games I can get for the phone that don't require connecting to the network and can be gotten with a prepaid account? I'm sad because most, if not all, the games preloaded onto the phone require connecting to the Japanese Vodafone/Soft Bank network.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I think the voicemail indicator setting is on the network side rather then the phone. When I first got my 904T, I got SMS notification instead of the voicemail indicator. After using the 904T for a few weeks, the voicemail indicator suddenly show up properly on the phone. If you want your voicemail indicator to work normally, I suggest you contact T-mobile and see what they have to say.

Thanks. I guess I'll give that a shot. I'm also getting some weird problem where I receive blank SMS messages from someone (something?) with no address or number, just a triangle and underscore. I've gotta ask T-Mobile about that as well.

I'm experiencing the same problem. But at least I know when I have voicemail now, I just usually just delete those 2 SMS msgs afterwards.

well i got off the line with t-mobile, and the representative went through some troubleshoot on her computer. and there was a section about when the user receives an empty sms message with a underscore and @ symbol. she read it to me, and it says that happens because the user is using a phone with an unfamiliar firmware. apparently this happens with lots of motorola users who flash their phones. they already came up with a solution to use some kind of SEEM editing software. too bad we don't have enough users to find a solutions specifically for the 904t. i can only hope what asmok mentioned will happen to me.

Solution? Do you know if this solution would work for my 803T, or is the "solution" only for those Motorola users?

i have no clue how to use that "seem edit" software. and i'm not going to even bother with it, i'll live with that strange sms knowing it's a voicemail "indicator."
