I know this forum is primarily for end-users, but I'm hoping that there might be some software developers that might know the answer to the following questions.
I know that SE has put out an P800 SDK that says it should be used with Metroworks CodeWarrior. I also know that Metroworks has a version of CodeWarrior that includes the SE P800 SDK.
However ! I've also read that supposedly there was an SDK that was compatible with and work with Visual Studio 6.0.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of such an SDK ( the one that will work with Visual Studio 6.0 ), I would REALLY appreciate the heads up ( i.e. link, etc. ) to where to go to get it.
I don't understand the reasoning of SE to make you go out and buy a whole different development environment when they have one that's perfectly good to use. I've heard it stated it was because VS6.0 isn't "shipping" anymore. But as you and I well know, VS 6.0 indeed is still purchasable. In surplus supply companies, etc.
So, if any of you kind souls know where the clues are and can point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged.
Thanks.
Marcelo

Well there's one thing called appforge which lets you write P800 and other mobile programs in Visual Basic. That might be what you are thinking of. You can learn more about it at appforge.com. Having said that Codewarrior is one of the leading Development environments around. It is used for Java, C++, Video Game development, and recently cell phones (symbian ones at least). I'm in Computer Science and our department uses Codewarrior and I even thought so much of it as to buy it.
If you are a developer I would recommend giving it a try, because the fact that you can use any compiler (available on your platform) makes it well worth using. I primarily use it for Java development, and one nice thing is that I can check to see if my programs will work well on windows machines as well as unix.
Hope the first part helps your search to use VS.
