V635 Backlight Problem...Killing me!

Well, for the past 6-7 months, the backlight on my V635 is coming on at random when the flip is closed. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it is doing this. I've flashed the phone multiple times to different F/W and it's the same thing. The problem is that it's killing my battery, at the end of the day my battery is already low.

Anyone know what might be the problem or how to fix it? I'd like to not have to buy another phone for a bit but I cannot afford to keep having a dead phone on me or worry about taking a charger everywhere. Any help is appreciated

Mine used to do this too but I managed to fix it before I sold it. The small button that gets depressed when the flip is closed used to stick and unstick randomly on my phone. It got to the point that the plastic part on the phone that is supposed to keep the button depressed wouldn't always come in contact with it. I got mine fixed by Motorola but in the short term, make your backlight settings as short as possible to reserve at least a little battery life. If it's not this then I dunno. I lucked out that it happened to be a physical problem

This is easy to fix, you have to clean your phone, because, as Blaxx says, the button that gets depressed when the flip is closed has dirt. Just get your phone clean with isopropilic alcohol, but only the mother board, not the displays.
