Sync with Napster/Yahoo to Go

I just bought a Sync recently and already I'm very happy with it. Some of the problems on Cingular around my town of Gainesville, FL do not exist on this phone. I have a few friends that have complained about dropped calls, low service etc.. Hasn't happened yet on this phone (even had a bar or two in the back of on of the grocery stores).

However, I'm fairly sure I won't be continuing with the Dataplan through Cingular due to it's high price (20 bucks a month). Not that it's not nifty, but I just don't feel like paying 240 bucks a year plus another 10 bucks a month just to listen to the radio on my phone.

However, I am very interested in the phones supposed ability to use Napster to Go or Yahoo to go, the pay for rental music services. Supposedly this phone can do that, has anyone been able to get it to work that way yet?
If so any tips?

Put in a MicroSD card, plug in your USB cord, start up Napster and your phone is recognized. Pretty simple, like it's a regular MP3 player.

The verdict is still out on the Music To GO from Napster and Yahoo Music. Both services are very cool yet I have found that syching playlists with my samsung synch doesn't always work the way that I want it to.

I recently left the phone hooked up overnight to synch 3 playlists. I woke up in the morning checked the PC and phone. I saw about four error messages and most of my music did not make it to the phone.

I am all for the Music To Go. I hope they can get the bugs worked out. The yahoo music program is a little slow and freezes up alot. I currently have a subscription to yahoo unlimited to go. Month to month only though. I may have to cancel if the bugs aren't worked out.

There's tons more you can do on a phone's internet other than listen to internet radio. I use my phone for email on the go, random internet surfing, etc.

If you're not sold, I'll give you two apps (both free) that'll install on just about any phone and make it very worth the $20.

1. Google Maps Mobile - point your phone's browser to www.google.com/gmm
2. Opera Mini - point your phone's browser to mini.opera.com

Enjoy.

I have the Samsung Sync also. It is an awesome phone! I have a 1gig sd card and a usb cable but for some reason my PC does not recognize it as a drive and Napster doesn't give me the option to transfer songs to it using my to go service. Any suggestions?

^^^I have this problem as well. The phone hooks up to samsung studio but is not recognized by either napster or windows media player 11.

Any ideas on why napster can't find my phone?
