So if I'm porting a number and they want it future activated because their contract doesn't expire until a week or 2 later... will they have to pay the etf? I guess do port request go thru immeditly or not until the activation date.

I believe that when you do the port request you can specify when the port takes place and when you do the activation you can specify when the activation will go live.

I wouldn't do this unless the people you are doing it for are friends of yours or are willing to live with potential issues that may arise.

the port should not originate until the desired date that you enter. but don't hold me to that, because he all i have is care, so i don't know what you use.

activate it now witha temp number. this gets you paid. then the port can be with a phone call after their old contract has expired with old carrier

Activate a temp # and adv the cust to call the pac dept on the day the contract is up. The # can be ported changed and active for mixed svc right away. port is usually fully complete w/in 3 hrs for inbound calls.
Very important for porting # must be active to port also must have billing info for osp (billing name, acct # or full ssn for acct holder, billing address and password if they have one) if porting from prepaid acct must have password or pin #.

as long as you set the ddt for the port to complete out to the day of or the day after he wants it live with cingualr he will eb good the osp acct is not going to close until the port completes adn It will not go active until the ddt that you set.

If you need to do this and are not sure how to set the date out just give us a call at port support or PAC as some call it and we will assit
