cingular 8125 and ethernet, telnet

instead of a wi-fi connection can one usb/ethernet connect to a Local Area Network and share info back and forth.


its not for me. but this guy climbs poles for a company and needs a hard wired connection for what ever reason.

there is a cable to do it and there is software from telnet. but does anyone know if it will work with the cingular 8125.

If you had a PPC with a compact flash slot, there are cards that would allow this. Unfortunately the 8125 has no CF slot. The only thing you could do would be to use a wifi connection to a gaming adapter. Gaming adapters are made to work with console game systems to connect via wifi to an ethernet network. They are a simple wifi to ethernet bridge, the problem will be powering the device.
