So I always wondered why the australian a701 version of the cingular a707 had the piscel file viewer...but then someone on the samsung forums said they can see .doc files on their a707. So I decided to give it a test and low and behold the a707 has the piscel viewer too. I stored a .doc file, powerpoint file, excel file, and pdf file and i can see it! This is a big discovery for me because I was gonna get the blackjack just for the piscel viewer, but not anymore! This just bumps up the usability of the a707, now if only we can bump the volume just a tad...would be great!

What? You can open .doc files with the a707?

... and PDF and all of the other formats Piscel supports.

Great find, guapinoy.... if they could just come out w/ an xpressmail java client for this phone...

Now that's pretty cool...I never knew that! Just opened a word file, but don't know how useful it is..

I agree... it'd only be useful if they have an good email client on it.

True...I just check my email through m.gmail.com on Opera. This is quite possibly the best phone I've ever owned.

I too stumbled upon this. Its way to cool that you can view other files on this phone. Did anyone read my post about making your own swf file and have rotating wall paper (unless you want to rotate the wallpaper that came with the phone). This phone is pretty cool on features.

Reading around on the net... This phone should have Pict Bridge support. So you should be able to print via USB to a pict bridge capable printer.

Oh goodie, reading Word documents on a tiny screen

Here we go....... comparisons to reading a word doc on a laptop or PDA. The point made here is that if you were in a bind, you have a viewer.

Actually it itsn't bad for reading if you are in a pinch. I doubt if I would do it on a daily basis, but the option is there and its great.
