krzr spkr phone help

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

i had a razer but it broke so i bought a krzr
i was wondering if there was a way to close the phone
but still talk on the speaker phone, like how the razor did

Posted by: Medpilot

It's not an option because the speaker for receiving your voice gets covered when the phone is closed.

You can close the phone if you are using a BT headset.

i can close the plip and talk on my krzr k1m. would that depend on who your carrier is an if that is one of the disabled features? i am with USCC and my k1m you can close the flip and talk on speakerphone.

I'm with USCC and can also talk on my speakerphone when closed.

Mine works when closed. Sprint.

My alltel k1m does it. I thought my vzw did it too, but I don't have that on either line right now so I can't test it.

Posted by: Medpilot

Hmm. I guess that's one more difference between the k1 and k1m

Posted by: tjedwards1972

i guess.....they didn't post the provider or if it was k1 or k1m.

Posted by: mykel86

yea the phone im using now is a k1 the blue one with cingular

Posted by: tjedwards1972

o.k., now it makes sense. that would be why yours doesn't work that way.

Posted by: post_break

Mine is the black one.

Posted by: tjedwards1972

i wish USCC would've got the black instead of the grey.

i don't know if this has been tested on the krzr, but you can try it:
seem edit 0032_0001 offset 8A - bit 2: Speaker Call to End on Flip Close (1 on, 0 off)

Posted by: mykel86

what do you mean : seem edit 0032_0001 offset 8a-bit 2

read: http://www.planetmotox.net/motox101/seem_editing.htm

That works for K1, just try.

I have no problem getting the speakerphone to stay on while the phone is closed, but I have no microphone durring that time. I have to open the phone back up to use it, any ideas on that?
