If you get a full new kit. What are you supposed to send back in the XBM, the whole old kit, or just the phone?

you send back whatever they give you

Anyone? Beuler?

Whether they send me a full kit or just a replacement, I've sent just the problematic phone without the battery and they've been ok with it.

according to their website they can charge you if you don't include everything in your return, including manuals, etc.

I generally just return the phone , battery.

If there is a removable faceplate that is not scrtached, I may swap.

FWIW, the instructions normally tell you what they expect.

At times xbm, will only send your the "phone" itself with no battery, manual, etc.

if you are in doubt what to send, call cingular CS and ask to be transferred to the group that handles XBM. That group is supposed to set your expectations and advise you what to send back. If you recieved a complete new phone, battery, charger, software, ect - you should return everything back - minus SIM and any memory cards, cases which you purchased, ect. BUT to make sure and get your account noted, call and ask to be transferred to the XBM group.

Yeah, just ask them.

When I got my XBM V3, all I got was the phone without a battery, so that's all I sent back and that was fine.

I just got my new phone and it includes everything, a brand new box, including a new SIM card. They did not send me any return lables or instructions for the old phone. Are those going to be sent separately? I paid the same as I paid for my original phone, which they said was the tax charge for CA.

well, 1/2 hour later, they told me they would ship out the return labels. The guy was telling me I didn't have to return and I said that I didn't want to get charged for it and to please send me the return labels.
