Thanks guys

bluetooth gps receiver... tomtom will work; cingular offers Telenav... i havent used either, can anyone compare the two? or provide other suggestions? I'm thinking of getting gps myself.

The telenav is $10 for unlimited routes, and like $5 or $6 for 10 routes..

Im purchasing the tomtom navigator 6 software with the bluetooth reciever.

I dont see the benefit of telenav....especially since you still need to purchase a gps reciever and ALSO pay a monthly fee.

Is there a way to do it without any subscriptions? Amazon has a great deal on the MS Street Maps with the GPS locator:

This does not look like it works with a Pocket PC. Looks like the software is laptop only and the GPS will definetly now work as it is a tethered USB port type receiver. Maybe the 2006 version has PPC software and the 2007 does not. Not sure and Amazon does not make it easy to determine.

There are many options to go subscription free. Check out these two sites and look at GPS bundles. Select an application and there will be packages with Bluetooth GPS receivers that will work fine with the 8525.

I am using iGuidance 3.01 on the 8525 with an iBlue 737 gps. iGuidance includes both a Pocket PC and Laptop versions of their software and its fairly resonably prices.
