I have an E816 hollywood. I have followed all of the post on how to make ringtones and I have got that down. I need now to figure out how to put them onto my phone. When I do the whole text message thing, it gives me a store only message. So I can store them on my phone but it doesnt let me select them for a ringtone. Can anyone help me?

you didn't say what cell carrier you have...it makes a big difference as far as how you transfer them and what kind of software you can use

i believe your phone is a cdma - check the verizon or cdma thread - most gsm mods don't work on cdma. motorola phone tools is the easiest to use.

this is true as cdma is much more different than gsm technology. Transferring ringtones/pics and modding your phone is much easier to do with gsm phones than with cdma phones.

I have amp'd mobile. I've talked to them and they won't tell me and I've also called moto and they told me its not possible, I know other wise and told them that I guess I would have to ask the people that don't get paid to do tech support because the people who do get paid don't know what there talking about......I've got Moto phone tools 4 but I dont really know how to use it, like i said before, all of this modding stuff is new to me so please help.
